SAN BERNARDINO, CA — March 17, 2026 — A survivor of domestic violence rarely faces just one crisis. She faces several at once: an unsafe home, an uncertain future, a mental health system she may not know how to navigate, and the very real possibility of ending up with nowhere to go. Most organizations address one piece of that puzzle. Bobbi Kristina Serenity House was built to hold all of it.

Founded by Bobby Brown and Alicia Etheredge-Brown in memory of their daughter Bobbi Kristina Brown, whose life was tragically lost to domestic violence in July 2015, the 501(c)3 nonprofit has grown into a comprehensive refuge for women, children, and families caught in the grip of abuse. Through free confidential 24-hour emergency counseling, transitional safe havens, and integrated homelessness and mental health initiatives, the organization meets survivors not where it’s convenient, but where they actually are.

That holistic approach is what sets Bobbi Kristina Serenity House apart. Recognizing that domestic violence, homelessness, and mental health are deeply interconnected crises, the organization has deliberately expanded its platform to address the full spectrum of challenges survivors face on the road to rebuilding their lives. Every service, every safe haven, every counseling call is rooted in one conviction: that lasting change requires more than emergency response. It requires a community committed to walking with survivors all the way through.

On Friday, April 24, 2026, Time for Change Foundation will present Bobbi Kristina Serenity House with the Beacon of Hope Award at its 24th Annual Awards Gala, Anchored in Promise, Powered by Purpose, recognizing the organization’s unwavering commitment to eliminating the epidemic of domestic violence and transforming the lives of those who have survived it.

“Bobbi Kristina Serenity House is doing the hard, necessary work of meeting survivors where they are and refusing to let them face the journey alone. Their commitment to addressing domestic violence, homelessness, and mental health together reflects exactly the kind of holistic, courageous approach that transforms lives. We are honored to recognize them,” said Dr. Vanessa Perez Trang, Executive Director, Time for Change Foundation
